Tommarow I will be polishing my truck for the first time with tje flex. I will be using Optimum Polish, with a white or orange pad. I am clueless to how to use this maching. My questions are:

1. What speed should I use to break down the polish and how long

2. What speed should I use after the polish is broken down and how long

3. Should I polish the whole vehicle before I remove the polish, or do one panel and remove polish and so on..

Thanks guys.

i've only used menzerna polishes but in anycase i place three pea size drops on my pad for a 12x12 area and blot the polish onto the area - a tip on making sure you stay in the 12x12 area, your pad is probably 5.5 inches or 6.5 inches so blot the product in four parts that are equal to the size of your pad and there is your 12x12.

use speed 1 to spread, then speed 5 until polish breaks down, then back down to 2 for a final pass. fyi: someone said the final pass at speed 2 will help reduce hazing.

you could polish the entire car, then remove as that would speed the process. but you should remove polish in each section as you move along. this gives you the chance to inspect your work and re-do the area if needed. this is the big difference b/t newbie and experts, newbies are always in such a rush they don't realize they missed things.

..........

Spread at what ever speed and bump it up to 6 to correct.

One section at a time then wipe.

You can work OP forever. Or at least until the imperfections are gone.

Use the orange pad as white will not corrrect much with op.

Depending on the color of your car you may need to or want to finish with the white pad.

Good luck.

Another question. Is it fine to polish my truck with the Optimum polish, and than next weekend top it with Red Moose Glaze and Nuba wax? Or do I need to do it all in one shot?

you'd be ok to wait a week. Just make sure your paint surface is clean as can be before you wax. No big deal there.
