My new 997TT

That thing looks like it might just be better than sex, in fact I am willing to wager...

Beautiful car man, must be quite the europhia driving it!

Great job and sick ride. That car would drive me nuts here on LI. Being stuck in traffic on the LIE or NSP itching to open that car up. I think I would have to go out for some 2am runs on Ocean Parkway!!!

Where are those pics by the beach? Cold Spring Harbor?

Tell me about it :wall Traffic and the roads are a complete joke around here. Not that I (or you) would need much of a reminder but the trip home from Ohio did just that. Almost 10 hours of little to no traffic, on mostly pristine country roads and then the last 75 miles or so - Felt like I was driving in a war zone.

The late night runs are something I do very often. The pics were taken at Short beach in Nissequoge.

From another 997 owner .... 997C2S.... Congrads on the new 997TT!!:2thumbs:

I see you too went with PCCB's!! You're gonna love them! The only problem is when they are soaking wet they do not stop well until fully dry.

My front bearings are making noise now and then. I thought it was a hung pad or caliper piston, but it's not.

I hope you got the short shifter (Sport Shifter) and other "Sport" items!!:grinno:

Do you have Bose? Nav?

Interested in Sirius or XM via the PCM? Danbury Porsche did my install from a Cayenne kit and works great! There's also a way to use your IPOD as well if that's what you want.

By all means, get the paint protection film!!! Detailing Dynamics can do customer full hood work as well. Add the obvious (headlights and fender "wings", but also add side mirrors and door cups (fingernails really damage the paint there).

I would also look into screens on the front area as I've heard several stories of condenser damage from rock hits. Porsche will not honor if it's road debris even though they expose them as they do on our cars. Farnbacher-Loles in Danbury does this and may other additional modifications. They are one of the best race teams and Porsche service areas on the east coast.

Hope to see you at a PCA meet one day!!

Deanski

LOL. That is what I figured. You can't have a car like that and not enjoy it. Hopefully you have a V1 and Blinder.

Do you live in Nissequoge? I live close to there in Setauket. Nissequoge has their own small police force right? Don't they ticket you for doing 34 in a 30!

Not in Nissequoge but in Smithtown - Just got home from there actually. Cops are insane up there. Sometimes I go up real late at night - midnight or so. I'm hoping fewer cops and no other cars as the roads are so narrow. It's actually easier to see at night since there are no reflections from the trees etc. and no glare.

V1 (etched into my rearview mirror) and Lidatek laser jammer were re-installed yesterday :xyxthumbs

Hi Deanski. I've actually PM'd you on Rennlist (I'm E55AMG there). NAV and Bose are std. on the TT as is "full leather" (an oxymoron if I ever heard one). I will be getting some clear bra done.

Oh, was that you requesting the work on your other car?

One day, we'll have to meet!!

cte: Best of luck with that stunner!

Funny story... I was going to grab a pizza before and as I was pulling out of the condo lot, an identical 997TT cruised by (but with yellow belts) and my neck broke as if Jessica Alba was walking by in a bikini. Right behind the TT was my fiancee driving my G35...As shes pulling up, she lips while cranking down the window and pointing, "I WANT THAT CAR". Then she asked the price :D. Maybe we'll look at Caymans for now ;).

Have fun with her...V1 has saved my license on numerous occasions.

Sounds like a good setup the V1 is a solid radar detecyor the lidatek jammers are OK if i were you i would swap those out for some of the newer tech that is availible now. PM me if you want any info on this stuff it's a hobby of mine.

How do you like the PCCB's? Nice aren't they? Just be careful on removal/replacement of the wheel. You need two wheel "hangers" so the wheel never touches the rotor.

Enjoy the new toy!!!

A bit off topic, but did you look into the new gps detectors? Passport I think. I just saw mention of them the other day and thought it sounded silly until I saw the possibilities - marking known falses and speed traps for instance. Just curious if you'd researched them and if you (or anyone) had an opinion.

Nice job..now just trade that snoozemobile in on a GT3-RS:D ;)

US dealers had very few allocations for the GT3-RS. There's always direct from Porsche, but it's still difficult to get one.

I see FarnbackerLoles has made a GT3-"S" version. Looks sick as all hell and damn fast with some very sticky R comp tires.

Still, the C2S with a few mods does very well. Looking at Bilstein PSS9's for PASM equipt cars, headers, low-cell Cats and a few other items without voiding warranty.
