Carpet Extractors (Not again!)

MattS

Oh no, another engineer!
Looking for recommendations, ideas and any other feedback on carpet extractors.

Wants:
I want to be able to clean interior fabrics and flooring well. I want to not have to kill myself getting a stain. I want to leave the car flooring looking very good to show added value to my customers. My volume of cars is low and I am concerned with results rather than speed or options.

Currently:
Thorough vacuuming, spot stain spraying, Bissel Green Machine w/heat.

Results:
Many stains out, but does not have the "good" look and I do not feel the Bissel is really doing very well for me, does not seem to have good extraction capability.

Options:
Looking to be around $1000 or less if possible. Have looked at the Mytee Lite and the Durrmaid units. Convinced I want heat, but not sure which units would work best and they are a little expensive to "try out" until I find one I like.

Will I notice significant difference between units with 100" lift and 140" lift? What about heat? What effect does the spray pressure have on performance and stain lifting capability?

Thanks in advance for any help and recommendations!

Matt,

You will notice a huge difference between a unit with 100" and 140" lift. My unit is 107" and it's pretty nice but I attended a detailing workshop and the shop owner had a big unit that was awesome. I'm not sure how much lift it had but I know it was alot more suction than mine.

Clean Dean type of Results

I know I saw some nice pictures from Clean Dean and I remember he mentioned some time ago (if I remember right) having a Mytee Light. Anyone have the Durrmaid and can it produce similar results to his pictures.

See this thread ...

Thanks for any and all help!

Dwayne got an recommendations?

I just got a Durrmaid recently and I recommend it.
Hot water is a must.
The 100" of lift is plenty even though more is always better.
Water spray pressure has no effect, so don't even worry.
Goto www.properautocare.com they are good people. No tax and no shipping charge.

I have used the CMA Type Before It works really Nice but I dont Think I need to spend all that money on one get one of the Bissel Carpet Cleaning Machines they work just as well but no hot water heater. I use an old rainbow Vacumm with a carpet cleaning Nossil and hot water from the sink and it does a good job Im sure the CMA one works alot better but its still better then by hand.

I have a mytee 1007. It is the biggest I could run off my generator.

"Model # 1007 1 - 3 stage vac motor, 140' waterlift, 100 psi, 100 cfm, 1200 watt dual heater"

keep in mind not all carpets will look like the pics you are reffering to. Some carpets will not leave as nice a shampoo mark as others it does have lots to do with the fabric of the carpet..

I hear great things from MYTEE and THERMAX...

yeah its strange the carpet in my trunk gets those really nice marks so do the ones in the back but the ones in the front dont if they do its very moderate.

It's probably becuase of the traffic volume for the front carpets. The material might be a bit matted. Use a scrub brush to lossen the fibers and then go over them again with a extractor it should give you the look your trying for or at least give it a better apearence..

I just got the Mytee HP100 after my Little Green quit (after 3 months of hard use). The unit has 140" water lift and heats fast. I tried it out last night and all I can say is OMG! This thing rocks. Best part, my carpets were completely dry in 30 minutes. I got it from Premium Autocare shipped to my door for $1255. You just can't beat that. The HP60 is the same thing with smaller tanks, but I couldn't find it anywhere for less money after shipping so I just got the big boy. Plus, I would rather do business with Dwayne anyway. He simply defines "great customer service."

The Durrmaid is good...

But my Mytee 8007 is an animal. After 3 years of complete abuse, she is still cleaning up some nasty interiors like a champ.

BTW... I may be selling the Durrmaid in about a week. I will post in the classified if I do. It was used for 2 weeks while the Mytee was in for service.

Did you know that there is a mixed martial arts fighter that shares your name.

Yup, from Long Island, NY. The funny thing is, I'm from Long Island, NY! :-p

I've got the mytee lite, purchased it from rightlook in march, and it does an absolutely awesome job. I'd highly recommend it, never have used the Durrmaid so I can't comment on it.

how does the mytee compare to the Sensai? Does anyone know that? I am leaning towards the sensai from all I have heard.
