AIO - as a QD

I found this info about AIO interesting. Put an ounce or 2 in a pint spray bottle and fill with water and shake now you have your quick detail spray, can be used for paint, plastic, windows and chrome. Or put a capful or 2 in bucket of water and stir, use as a car wash. It won't foam up but it will lift dirt. AIO is compatible with water so no need to dry car completely before putting on.

For those of you who like to use "dawn" don't its chemicals remain on the finish and begin to oxidize.
 
Is AIO really compatible with water? Its really high in solvents. And I'm not sure its acrylic resin polymer is miscible in water.

I've heard this suggestion before but it doesn't make a lot of sense to me. If you do the math AIO costs about $1.35 per ounce. By comparison Eagle One WET Wipe & Shine costs about 24 cents per ounce. And its a product specifically designed as a QD.

Eagle One WET shampoo runs about 8 cents per ounce and is an excellent product as well as a great value.

So my thinking is that even if AIO did work with water (and I'm not sure it does), its still a poor value compared to cheaper, more task-specific products.

Just a thought. I'll be interested to read what others think.
 
AIO is one of my favorite products, but not as a QD or a shampoo.

It's no secret that I am "old school" and for me the best products for a specific use will usually be the products that are intended for that specific use. Most of those products have had a lot of research put into them. Not all, but most.
And yes, I have heard about peanut butter removing wax stains from black trim. I still put my peanut butter on bread. As far as wax stains on trim, it made more sense to use a product that didn't stain the trim in the first place.
