I know it has been written about to death, but now I can't find the threads. I am having trouble finding out which products to use in which order.

The ones I am confused about are AIO and #9 SMR. Which do I use first?

Yes, I am SO new to this, but am excited to get started!

No biggie. Use the #9 first, its more abrasive. Plus if you used the #9 after the AIO, you would just strip off the AIO.

I dont thinkn AIO leaves anything behind .. but yes, #9 then AIO, then whatever your topping the paint off with.

AIO does leave some protection as well as dong a great job of cleaning. One of my favorite products. (Right now )

Does AIO have enough cutting ability to take out swirls? Or do I need to still use my #9.

You will still need a SMR. AIO doen't seem to much, if anything, for swirls.

Probably not. Since you already have #9, why not just keep using it? You would probably spend more time and effort trying to use the AIO than if you did the #9 and followed it with the AIO.
I don't use #9 often, but #9/AIO/UPP works good for me.
I also use #9/AIO/S100 on one car. #9, maybe twice a year, AIO about once every 90 days, UPP or S100 monthly.
AIO on my wheels seemed to help a great deal in brake dust removal. I don't use a wheel cleaner, just car shampoo.
Still takes me 1 to 1.5 hours to wash the car, though.

AIO would be great on wheels, since its a polymer. I have Megs #6 that im going to try on the wheels of a Vette tommorow, along with that Lusso Oso lineup on the paint. It should be intresting. And of course, there will be pics.

CharlesW, why do you use UPP monthly? I thought it was supposed to last longer than that. I figured two or three coats in a weeks time and I would only have to wash for a while (until the next cleaning/polishing is due).

Probably because he's as banal about his car as I am. To paraphrase 'Tim the Toolman': "More wax, more wax..."

Don hit it on the head. I have been known to go close to 3 months between waxing, but that was a very extreme circumstance.
The van get UPP monthly, the GTP gets S100 monthly, the Corvette gets UPP monthly. They are washed when dirty. (Not if it is still raining or going to rain the next day) I probably wash cars at least three times per week. I once washed the same car three times in one day. Washed it, got caught by a sprinkler, washed it, got caught with a bunch of dirt and dust from a construction site, washed it and put it in the garage for that day.
