Just wanted to show the progress of the Caddy. Will get some sunlight pics here in a bit. Its had top sit outside during the 2 day process so I'll take more pics and post them later.

After :D

I used 600 grit Akrya paint leveler and a wool pad on my PC set about 6. I did the decklid about 3 times. The scratches are still there but alot harder to see. On the rest of the car I used FI-II FC compound on the driverside then Meg. DCPC, 3M Machine Polish, #7 and Bahama Mama Wax. On the passenger side I used Mess. DCPC, #7, and Bahama Mama. Then I washed and dried it using a leaf blower to remove all the extra yard crap.
The drivers side had been repainted. Repainted as in with a brush! So it looked kinda crappy, hence the extra effort. Took about 12 hours and I haven't touched the interior.
More fun tomorrow. I wish this one would pay better...

Nice work. I can't wait for the rest of the pics.

How much did the #7 hide the scratches after all the compound and polish?

I don't know that the #7 did that much to hide them. The scratches were pretty deep but I used a 600 grit paint leveler and made several passes over the decklid. I think the decklid took me almost 2 hours alone. I was under the impression had no silicone or similar in it since it was paintable, is #7 a filler?

Thanks.

No, it doesn't look like it was painted with a brush...
It WAS painted over with a brush. Touch up paint and about half the drivers side was BRUSHED on! It still looks good though :-)

I wish but since it was my father I was helping him out. I also told him before hand *stupidly* my price but he didn't realize the extent of the damage when he said It's got a few scratches...
